1. This is Jewpordy!
2. Health: SGLs in low 100s-110s for the last three days. The Glucophage™ I was taking is the probable cause of my GI distress last week. I discontinued taking it per my doc. My wounds still look good. Weight is up a pound over last week, which is mystifying.
3. WoW: Martkishar made Level 80 Sunday. Been running heroics with my fellow BOYDers -- Paharita (Gwenny), Vare, Kal, Dae -- to get gear for raiding. We've hit heroic Utgarde Keep, heroic Nexus and regular Vault of Acheraon (a raid) so far. I'm piling up badges (currency earned in heroic dungeons and on raids that can be spent on epic gear) as well. I've a loot list now of stuff I want to get before heading into the guild's Naxx raids.

Daily Bloggery and Link-a-rama™ 2009-04-04: Good Things™
1. Amtrak. I've always loved trains, and being car-less but involved with someone has made me a lot more familiar with Amtrak. My first ride on the Capital Corridor train Sac to Fremont last week was a lot of fun. Even the ride home, as reluctant as I was to leave Gwenny, was still fun. The ability to engage in occasional acts of public CCD exposure (aka shutterbuggery) -- I took a lot of pics of the Naval Reserve Transport Fleet in Martinez because one day I want to show Baby Kanenwisher (my grand, once said child is born and can understand the significance) what his grampa's grampa did in WW2 (namely, built Liberty Ships in the Kaiser Shipyards).
2. The Unitarian Jihad. This one's for Diane and her mom, who know why, where and how.
Oh! BTW, my Unitarian Jihad Name is: Brother Dagger of Enlightenment. What's yours?
3. Health: Left side wounds look real real good, the heal-negative sluff is slowly being banished by the frequent dressing changes. I've been fighting either a bit of a tummy bug or I'm reacting to the Glucophage™ I'm taking to keep my SGL under control. Teh runz are teh suck. Anyway, good SGL -- under 110 -- over last 12 hrs. Walking really helps!
4. Gwenny. Every day, I thank Goddess for bringing this magnificent woman into my life. I have nearly thirty documented (but unshared as a collection) Reasons Why I Love Gwenny. Reason 29: "Helps get me through the bad days and makes the good ones even better." Yesterday the tummy bug and a meeting I was forced to stand up at were together kicking my head in. Gwenny was right there, encouraging and expressing affection while I was Not At My Best. Sometimes that is all we need.
5. WoW: Martkishar is level 79. He should hit 80 sometime next week. Or, if Gwenny and I play WoW together all day Sunday, maybe even Sun night. I do not think that playing WoW all day on Sunday is very high on our list of fun things to do together. I hope v3.1 is released this week. Dual specing, here I come!

Daily Bloggery and Linky-links 2009-04-01: the umlaut-free zone and SotR
Health: SGLs continue to be in the green zone (126 this morning). Was a bit more tired than normal this morning. Later reading mid-90s after walking. Time to eat!
Monthly goals:
Goals met: lost 5 lbs, socializing in RT / RS once a week.
Goals Not Met: Totally avoiding the Red Zone in terms of SGL, Not visiting Sophia.
Did not meet goals because of van issues and because I missed doses.
April Fools Jokes: YouTube and Google have good ones. Here's WotC's for D&D. Even Starbucks got into the act.
Gwenny: The more I learn about this remarkable lady, the more I love her. And that's no joke!
----------------
Now playing: Steve Miller Band - The Joker

Daily Bloggery and Random Linky-Link 2009-03-25: World War Z Meets The Regency Romance
1. Linky-linky: For Seanan. If Jane Austen had written Sense and Sensibility with a World War Z mindset. Because Seanan is just. that. cool.
2. Health: SGLs spiked a bit yesterday to high green (140) back down to 111 later in the day. No missed doses, etc. Got my walking in.
3. Gwenny: Continued yakking online most of the work day and into the night till bedtime. Gathered separate diabetic crash kit for the trip (sans meter, will need a travel meter and lancet holder for future trips).
Future trips? Yes. I cannot and will not envision any other result from this visit but "This is going to work out for both of us." Failure. Is. Not. An. Option. Sex-positive pagan gamer geeks of the female persuasion are incredibly scarce in my generation. A deal breaker will need to be truly epic. I'm taking my herbal supplements and visualizing us as a happy couple in real space, real time, as is, where is, how is. Visualization is a statement of intent through process through to a desired state, not just a fantasy that skips to the "good parts" and ignores the psychic hard work and energy needed to bring "the good parts" about. Life is a process, not a highlight film.

Daily Bloggery and Linky-linky: 2009-03-11
1. SotR: I'm kind of tired due to sleep dep. Kind of like that pushcart in Monty Python and the Holy Grail with the guy yelling "Bring Out Your Dead!" However, the lack of sleep has been in a very good cause. OMG what a cause . . . I'm not going to /disclose more just yet, except for the fact that I'm in a very good place. SGLs continue to be Green. YAY ME.
2. Baycon has gone from "definite maybe" to "I'm going. Period." Yes, this is related to item 1.
3. Effective immediately: Chuck Norris is no joke. I'm gonna utterly PWN the next WoW loudmouth who starts with the CN jokes.
4. Tech Republic needs to STFU with the FUD.
5. New talking iPod. Nice.
