Important announcement for my gamer friends . . .

I interrupt your regularly-scheduled blog with an announcement:
As of today, I am out of the DM business. This time I mean it, as in "I am never, ever, running a fscking game for anyone, anywhere, ever again." I've freaking HAD IT. After forty years of gaming -- I started war-gaming as an eight-year old back in '67 or so -- it is high time I grew up and finally started acting my fscking age. I need to get serious about my life; I've just turned 48 years old, ferdawdssake, and here I am still playing kid's games and pretending to be a dwarf with an axe, a beard and a hardcore grudge against Orcs. I'm a pathetic embarrassment, an old guy who still plays kid games; that has to stop, and it will. Now.
I'm hanging up the DM shield and dice for good. Forever. I'll take www.miresseia.org and the Miresseia Yahoo! Group down for good in the next few weeks to devote my time to serious pursuits for once in my benighted life. I haven't a clue of what middle-aged guys who "act their age" do for fun. . . maybe I'll get aTV and start watching American Idol for a clue. Perhaps I'll take up numismatics or start riding the bus to Tahoe to gamble and catch washed up rock stars who were big when I was a kid playing the hits I listened to when i was twelve. Maybe even take up gardening or home improvement.
This is not about any of my players; nobody is making me do this. Don't try to talk me out of this; my mind's made up.
